This extraordinary curved custom gas fireplace is truly one of the kind. The architect had amazing vision for an extraordinary 28 feet long curved fireplace for Northwestern Mutual Office Tower in Milwaukee, Wintston. The project became a beautiful reality. This truly amazing custom fireplace was designed and manufactured to be the center focus to the main entrance to the office tower. In addition to the magnificence, elegance and class, this curved custom fireplace adds warmth and comfort feeling to 32-story office tower and three-story common space totaling more than 1.1 million square feet. This truly has been an amazing custom fireplace project. We have proved time and time again that we can design and manufacture any fireplace that you are dream of, even the curved one. We are incredibly proud of this magnificent custom curved fireplace, designed, fabricated and manufactured for Northwestern Mutual Office Tower in Milwaukee, Wintston.

      This unique four sided curved fireplace measures visible glass openings of 28 feet long by 4 feet high. The unit is designed as a glass front fireplace with natural gas fuel and power venting. Burner media is lava rock granules. The system is designed with a pressure switch installed that will sense low draft, shutting the entire burner system down in the event of no or low flow. The controls are in an access panels in a space in front of the unit and is accessible for servicing and or replacement for easy maintenance. This fireplace is installed with double pane glass system to ensure the glass stays cool to the touch to prevent burns as it is in the public space, as well as meet new code bylaw requirements.

      Fireplace Concepts North America representative went on site to commission the fireplace prior to the compliance investigation testing. After 3 days of running non-destructive tests, this custom fireplace was approved with excellent results to the following standard ANSI Z21.50-2016. The standards used are the applicable American National Standards Institute (ANSI), UL, CSA, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) or other Approved product standards. The following non-destructive tests required by the applicable product standard were conducted on May 3, 2017:

  • Interlock systems
  • Input manifold pressures
  • Temperature
  • Grounding continuity
  • Functionality
